1.5 years studying for a Bachelor of Science in Equestrian Science
2.5 years studying for a Bachelor of Science in Equine General Studies with an Art Minor

Where I’ve Been, What I’ve Done:
- Rode horses for 14 years, trained horses for 8 years (while overseen by another trainer)
- Studying horse psychology and horse training books for 10+ years; this knowledge is easily transferrable to dog training & taught me how to learn, retain, and apply training information in a practical and safe way
- I’ve worked at multiple barns studying under horse professionals for 5+ years
Why the switch?
I started university with the intent of furthering my education into horse training, but had to switch my major during my sophomore year. My CRPS started my 1st semester of freshman year, but I pushed through until I couldn’t anymore. The pain made it difficult and unsafe to handle horses, but I wanted to continue learning about animal care, training, and management. Equine General Studies became available as a new major at my university and didn’t require hands-on work but included many of the same classes, so that gave me a place to continue my education and finish college.
Much like how professional athletes commit their lives to their sport, I committed my whole life to understanding & training horses. Now I’m taking that dedication, education, and skill set and applying it to dog training.
