She Tailors Your Course to You
I’m a current client and Sally has helped me so much. I have a handful of conditions that limit me in all sorts of ways. Sally is amazing. She learns about what you have going on and tailors your course to what you can do. The past few months for me have been incredibly challenging for me physically due to my conditions, but she’s been there every step of the way, letting me rest when my body requires it, and pushing me (in a good way) when I am able to kick absolute butt! I never thought I would be able to get a service dog this far without paying someone to do it all for me. She helped me get the help I need. Thanks Sally, for everything.

My favorite part of working with Disabled Advantage was actually seeing our progress. I’m the kind of person that can get tunnel vision, focusing on the work that still needs to be done. Sally helped me keep a balance in seeing the work that needed to be done, but pointing out the progress that was being made along the way.
5 month update: My pup and I just passed our Advanced Obedience Test! Woot! We still have some work to do for our public access training, but I definitely don’t feel like a novice anymore when it comes to working with my dog. Sally is great at bringing perspective, from little problems that you just can’t solve to taking a look at the big picture of the progress your team has made. Max and I have been working together for a year and a half now and I have nothing but excitement when I think of what we’ll accomplish in the future. She’s Amazing at Explaining Things
I am a dog trainer from Florida, I had a client that needed help with mobility support and I stumbled across some of Sally’s videos and reached out to her. My Dog & I Can Now Go in Public Easily
I signed up for lessons with Disabled Advantage because I wanted to teach my dog basic obedience and learn how to help him navigate public situations. Before working with Disabled Advantage, I struggled with meeting new dogs and public situations but had a good sit and down started. While training with Sally, I saw immense improvement and I learned many different ways to deal with new situations and now, my dog and I can go into public and wait patiently to greet new dogs as well as following my commands for basic obedience, focusing on me and not his environment. My favorite part of working with Disabled Advantage was Sally’s ability to explain everything my dog was experiencing and then apply a method for working him through it that I could do on my own! Sally helped us reach our goals of going into public reliably and increasing our obedience abilities in many situations! Thanks so much Sally!

Overwhelmed to Confident & Hopeful
When we first decided to bring a dog into our household, we had absolutely no idea where to begin. I am sure I took quizzes, read books, made lists, etc., etc. All this ever achieved was becoming more overwhelmed by the adoption process. I had all but talked myself out of getting a dog, and then we met Sally.
The relief I felt during our first meeting with Disabled Advantage was overwhelming. Within her demonstration of what she could offer us, all my worries melted away. It was clear from the start that her passion and intelligence would be the game changer I needed to be successful in training or even owning a dog on my own.
We gave Sally a challenge from the beginning, as we live in a more remote city with extraordinarily little selection in dogs. We were often looking at dogs hours away from us, which meant planning a full day trip if we were to meet them. Call in Sally. She taught us everything she could about how to analyze posting for dogs, how to spot warning markers in pictures and text, and most importantly, was with us on a live video call for each potential dog we met. Then while we got to focus on the fun of meeting new dogs, Sally would go through a very concise interview questionnaire with the caretaker of the dog. The questionnaire is where magic exists.
Enter our new best friend, Arlo. A year and a half, 86 lb. mini horse of a dog. My partner and I are both about 5 ft tall, and I am disabled. To many, this would seem like a terrible pairing, but he passed all the key indicators on Sally’s requirement list. And thus, he came home with us… as did Sally. She was on video call with us for the first walk we took, our first home walk through, and getting us set up with how to manage our first 24 hours together. It all went incredibly well. I remember being incredibly grateful for her support through this as I was emotionally exhausted from the excitement of a new family member. Sally provided us with so much custom support in those early days, we were able to enjoy our new friend instead of stressing ourselves over if we had everything we needed for a strong, warm welcome. Getting to this point with Sally felt secure and uplifting. Little did I know this was only the beginning of the wonder Sally contains.

I mention your business every chance I get and even my service dog unit who typically only deals with PTSD veterans knows how much you’ve helped me and how I use what you taught me to work in anything I do with my dog.

A Top-Level Professional & Disability Ally All-in-One
I thought being available for questions, problems, or worries from us daily was exceptional customer service. Building us custom programs and documents felt like having a top-level professional in our back pocket. By the point she purchased a walker simply to help coach me through using mine with my dog, I knew we had an Ally in so much more than dog help. She has also been a coach in helping me gain the skills and confidence to overcome my own personal barriers. Training with Disabled Advantage has resulted in both my dog and myself growing and pushing each other past where our imagined limits currently exist.
To say I have gratitude for working with Sally is a gross understatement. In the “Beginner Paw Camp” course, I learned more about dogs than I have collectively in a lifetime of owning them. I gained incredible confidence and skills through Sally’s detailed guidance. This immediately reflected in my training work with my dog. By the end of our first month together, our dog was successfully adhering to household manners and cohabitating peacefully with our cats. By the end of the full course, we have received nothing but compliments in public places over how well behaved our good boy is already being. We hear comments about how lucky we are with our unique breed dog or how good a training team we must be. I blame Sally entirely for these things. Without the support of Disabled Advantage, I simply do not think I would be capable of maintaining the drive and stamina of growth needed to help my dog achieve his highest level.
